When it comes to preparing your camera or production kit and assigning your camera crew, it takes a lot of steps for us to make sure your shoot goes smoothly. CAMERA KITS

As a camera hire facilities we offer a full range of high definition and standard definition cameras, lenses and monitors and all the support kit you might need on location. Our preparation procedures are rigorous. We constantly update our processes to make sure the kits we deliver to you are perfect - the best they can be. This year, 2008, we are working towards ISO 9001 Quality Control accreditation. We hope to complete the process by December 2008 or early 2009. Work began in December 2007 and getting this recognition is a lengthy process.

Our most recent recent arrival is the Sony PDW-700 XDCAM HD422 camcorder. This is a significant upgrade of the previous XDCAM HD models and offers much stronger technical specifications. These camcorders record onto discs rather than videotapes. The 422 refers to the colour sampling ratio in the 700. Without getting too technical, the camera records more colour information than straight XDCAM HD models and it offers a higher bit rate - 50 megabits per second rather than 35 - which means more data and therefore information is recorded. This provides better images.

CREWS

Our crews are thoroughly vetted. We’ve been working with most of them for several years - all are top rate lighting cameramen and sound recordists who are in demand. Those who have joined us more recently have only come by strong referral and because we have seen their work. What do we look for? We offer High Def crews in London with Sony HDW-F900, HDW-F900R or HDW-750 HDCAM camcorders. For high definition shoots in XDCAM HD422 or XDCAM HD in London we offer the Sony PDW-700 and PDW-F350. We also carry Sony EX-1 camcorders which record onto cards. If you prefer Panasonic camcorders our London operation offers the Panasonic AJ-HDC27 Varicam, the Panasonic HDX-900 and the Panasonic HVX-200 P2 camcorder. Our London HD crews are proficient is shooting all Hi Def formats and have a solid track record of delivering to a long list of high profile clients. Our HD camera crews in London include DOPs, lighting cameramen, camera operators, camera assistants and sound recordists. Our high definition stock in London also includes HD lenses and HD monitors.

For lower budget HDV shoots in London and the UK we carry the Sony HVR-Z1, the Sony HVR-V1 and the Sony HVR-A1. All are available for hire on their own of with crew.

For Digi-Beta shoots in London and the UK we offer crews equipped with the Sony DVW-970WSP or Sony DVW-790WSP camcorders. We also carry DVCAM camcorders in our London operation. Our stock includes the Sony DSR-450WSP, the Sony HVR-Z1, the Sony HVR-V1 and the Sony HVR-A1. The Z1, V1 and A1 camcorders can all record in HDV, DVCAM or DV. We also carry Betacam SX and Beta-SP camcorders at our London premises – the Sony DNW-9WSP and the Sony BVW-400AP.
